Universal Garage Door Part for all Garage Doors Garage Door Opener Part Low Headroom Kit
Low Headroom Hardware To gain additional headroom for garage door opener installation. USE ONLY IF VERTICAL LIFT OF DOOR IS SEVEN (7) INCHES OR LESS (DIMENSION "B")
In using low headroom hardware, the original top roller bracket is removed from the fully closed garage door. The top roller low headroom fixture is placed in the track and run down to where the top of the garage door is kept tightly closed. The new fixture is then bolted to the garage door. When the garage door starts to open, the top section immediately folds back on the fixture and does not rise above track allowing full clearance for garage door opener installation. The principle use of this type of low headroom hardware in garage door opener hanging is to gain clearance between the high point of the garage door and the ceiling. Dimension "A" is the headroom gained by use of the low headroom hardware.
